Can you believe it... the Zimm Twins are 11 months old. How time flies.
Kate and Doug continue to amaze us daily. They are both pulling up on everything and holding on to walk. Of course, their main 'transportation' is still crawling and they are both very good and fast now. Not to mention they both are human vacuums, The Zimm Twins can find the smallest of particles the vacuum has missed for years! Kate has shown signs that she is almost ready to turn loose and walk alone. She has taken about 3 steps and then falls. Watch out everyone, it won't be long before the Zimm Twins are up and running!!!!!!!
Last week, Tony caught the nasty stomach bug. He woke up at 12 midnight on Thursday and was sick. I immediately got him some crackers and sprite, quickly threw some clothes in a bag, put the kids in their carriers and drove to my parents house at 12:40am. Needless to say, my parents were surprised to see us in the middle of the night, but I didn't want the Zimm Twins to be around the illness anymore than they already had been.
Luckily, the Zimm Twins escaped the nasty tummy and each were only droopy for a day or so. Mom called the doctor anyway and made an appointment.
Last week, the Zimm Twins had an unplanned 11 month weigh in. Doug was 19lbs. 15oz. Kate was 18lbs. 9oz.
Still the doctor is very pleased with their weight and growth.
The Zimm Twins continue their daily adventure at their Grandparent's office. Today, they had a busy morning driving to different jobs with Granddaddy and 'supervising'. The afternoon was filled with 'office time' and Great Uncle time. The Zimm Twins play-pen (or pack N play) has been adorned "The Twins Office". Each morning they spend time in "their office" reading or eating some books, drinking their morning juice and eating 'puffs'. This afternoon, the office moved outside so the Zimm Twins had the opportunity to get some healthy sunshine. After they announced to the neighborhood they were DONE in the office, it was Uncle time. Uncle David holds them, plays with them, feeds them... but doesn't do diapers!
Pet update: The Zimm Twins still love their cat (at home), J.C. The cat will turn 12 in May and everyone says for an older cat, she is amazing with the Twins. Most of the time, J.C. let's the Twins lay on her and tug at her; then, J.C. just goes to 'higher ground' out of their reach! Now, the update on J.J. - Just a month or so before the Zimm Twins were born, a cute kitten started hanging around the Grandparent's office. We immediately name this kitty J.J. Since then, J.J. has spent many nights in the office, out of the cold and meets us at the front porch every morning. J.J. has claimed on of the Twins graduate seats and loves to sleep in it. J.J. still has claws, so we watch her closely, but that cat is amazing with the Twins. She too let's the Twins tug on her, lay on her and yell at her. It is easy to say that the Twins are going to be cat people... with both the older cat who has had to get use to the squeaky people in HER house and with the younger cat who is growing up with the Twins.
We already had our 11 month picture taken and posted. It was our Valentine's picture.
