Kate and Doug ended their first year of 'school' in May. The Zimm Twins can't believe it is already Summertime. The Twins have been busy with activities almost everyday.
In May, the Zimm Twins made their way to J.W. Dunlop park for their friend Malachi's 2nd birthday. The Twins loved playing on the tube slide... especially when Mommy would go with them (and get stuck)!
As far as the 'work day', Kate and Doug are still making frequent trips to Home Depot. They are enjoying riding in the basket, but especially when they can 'drive' the Home Depot cart! Fair Warning: they make WIDE turns!
The Zimm Twins LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. However, they have "Elmo" and "Mickey Mouse" confused/combined. When they talk about Mickey Mouse, they say, "Melmo". It is cute, but Mommy can't make them understand that Elmo lives at Seseme Street and Mickey Mouse lives at DisneyWorld... the two will never meet! Never the less, they love to sit and watch Clubhouse!
One of the most fun things the Zimm Twins have done this year was visit Howard Moore Splash Park last week. Grandmommy (aka MaMa) and Mommy met the Zimm Twins friends Karen, Kaden & Kyle Peters at the Splash Park for a few hours of fun in the sun. The size of the pool was perfect for the Twins, as it was not more than 1 1/2 ft deep. Kate and Doug loved the squirting water, as they tried to sit on it. The small water slide was still too big for the Twins, but they enjoyed the spray!The most recent adventure the Zimm Twi
ns went on was to Round Rock for the day, last Friday. Grandmommy went to a convention, just for the day, in Waco. Granddaddy, Mommy & the Twins dropped her off at 8a
m and went on down I-35 for an adventure. We got off I-35, onto back roads so we could see a pretty lake, shopped at the outlet mall, ate a good lunch and drove on strange roads! While shopping at the outlet mall, Doug spotted a Choo Choo. Granddaddy pulled out 50 cents and off Kate and Doug went on the electric train. The ride looked more like a bucking bronco and Mommy thought the face on the train was a bit evil; but the Twins seemed to enjoy their ride!When the Zimm Twins have a day, just to stay inside out of the heat, they still enjoy playing in the "Romper Room" at Great-Grandmother Da's House!
