Saturday, March 3rd, Doug began a new chapter of his life... Tball!!!!
Doug will be playing for the Cardinals through Arlington Optimist. This is pretty exciting, considering Doug will be playing on the very same field (Senter Park, 2 blocks from Da's house) as his Daddy and his Great Uncle! (Daddy played 35 years ago and Great Uncle David played 56 years ago!)
The first game was a good one. Doug had 2 at bats and scored one time. A very cute moment (for Mom, not so much for Dad) was before Doug would step on Homeplate, he asked permission from the 'umpire'!!!!
The fielding positions he played were 2nd, short stop and 3rd base. He caught a ball at short stop and was so surprised, he didn't know what to do!!!
Sissy, Kate was a wonderful cheerleader and Daddy is a great Asst. Coach!
