End of Pre-K

Today was the last day of Pre-K, which means the Zimm Twins are officially off to school!   Real School!   After 3 years at  Park Row Children Center, Kate and Doug ended their preschool experience and learned SO much.   Beginning in the Fall, the Zimm Twins will attend Kindergarten at Park Row Christian Academy; remaining at Park Row, but graduating to the Elementary School.

To celebrate our Preschool Graduation, Mommy and Daddy took Kate and Doug out for a special dinner.  Originally headed to the Melting Pot (a favorite of Doug's), a special email was received which led the Zimms to Del Frisco's in Fort Worth.   The hostess looked at us like we were CRAZY when we entered, but quickly sat us upstairs in a small dining room.   Both Kate and Doug were sitting properly and acting well when another couple joined us in the small room.   Kate gulped down 10 raw oysters and Doug was a big boy drinking his iced tea with 1 hand!   Each had an appetizer plate of shrimp for dinner.  (on a side note, before dessert, Kate and Mom went to the restroom.  There a lady said to Kate, "how pretty and your pearls are nice... {pause} and real!")   Back at the table, as the room filled, the Zimm Twins were served vanilla ice cream.   Quickly, our waiter told us the couple in the room would like to buy the Twins meals!  WOW!

As we left the restaurant, we stopped at the couple's table to say thank you, finding out they are from New Mexico and here for the Colonial Golf Tournament.   The gentleman said, "your children made our dinner enjoyable, Congratulations."   THANK YOU!
Finally, walking down the stairs and to the door, everyone in the restaurant waiting for tables did double takes at the 2 five year olds walking like they owned the place! It stopped a lot of ladies in their tracks!   (Mom, thinking to herself, 'oh how their Great Grandfather would be proud... good behavior and expensive taste!)

We are SO proud of both Kate and Doug ~ all of their accomplishments through Preschool and all the accomplishments yet to come.   We love you both!
