The Fourth of July was celebrated by the Zimm Twins for TWO days!
On Saturday the 3rd, the Zimm Twins hosted their Annual Fourth of July party at their Grandparent's house. It was a lot of fun to have everyone come over.

The Day started by watching the Arlington Parade on t.v. But this year, they didn't have anyone telling us about the parade as the floats drove by, so it was kind of strange. We sat nicely and watched a silent parade! 
The Granddaddy grilled really good burgers from the 1/2 cow Daddy bought! Kate enjoyed playing with Cousin Kendall while Doug was b
usy watching Cousin Kyle shot pool on the pool table! Saturday night, the Zimm Twins joined Cousins Kyle and Kara at Great-Great Grandmother Rankin's driveway to watch the Arlington Fireworks. The fireworks started pretty late, so the Zimm Twins were already sleepy. When the countdown began and the first 'pop' was heard, Doug was on his knees and wiggled to Daddy's lap VERY fast. Doug really enjoyed watching the pretty fireworks. Kate was asleep for a short time, but woke up very quickly when the fireworks started. She didn't like the loud noise and cried during the entire show. Kate seemed to be very nervous during the show, as she sat in 
Daddy's lap, she was shaking the entire time. Mommy thinks she was nervous and maybe the butterflies in her t
ummy didn't like the fireworks, because about 5 minutes before the show was over, Kate exclaimed, "UOH Mommy." When Mommy looked at Kate in Daddy's lap, Kate was throwing up. She never ran a fever or seemed to be sick. I guess the fireworks made her tummy hurt. ~ Overall, the fireworks experience was fun!
