Saturday morning, GDaddy, GMama, Mom, Dad, Kate & Doug headed south down a new road. GDaddy took the Zimm Twins down Highway 281 to get to San Antonio. This lead us through some of the more rustic towns in Texas, but nice! We drove through Hamilton, Evant, Lampasas, Burnet, Marble Falls, Johnson City and Blanco. {Noted funny: Mom decided for Kate & Doug to wear Pull-Ups in the car. In the middle of no-where, Kate announced, "I need to potty." Mom said, "Kate, the good news is you have on a Pull-Up." Kate replied with a sarcastic 3 year old, "Mom, the bad news is, I HAVE TO POTTY."}

When we arrived in San Antonio, our first stop was the entire purpose of our trip... to eat at The Earl of Sandwich. After a nice lunch on the patio, enjoying the original roast beef sandwich (established in England, 1762), we headed to the RiverWalk.
A ride down the river in a boat was a bit warm, but a nice trip. The only problem, Doug couldn't find Mickey Mouse! Apparently he didn't understand that vacations don't always land you at DisneyWorld!!!
After the trip around the river and a brief walk on the RiverWalk, the Zimm Twins made their debut at THE ALAMO. Unfortunately, the Alamo is currently under renovations, therefore, there was not much to see. (Doug never found Mickey Mouse.)
Kate and Doug enjoyed a night 'at the hotel' (as Kate says) and a peaceful drive home on Sunday. With a stop in New Braunfels at The Smokehouse and Austin for lunch and Daddy's shopping; The Zimm Twins declared another wonderful Adventure!
