The Zimm Twins made their first trip to Disney World in Florida in June. This was also the Zimm Twins first airplane ride. They did GREAT!
Gmama and Gdaddy enjoyed Monday nights dinner at a traditional Hawaiian Luau at the Polynesian Resort!
We flew on Southwest Airlines, so we had 1 stop (no plane change). Both Doug and Kate had no problem with their ears and on the second leg of the trip, during takeoff, they both fell asleep!
We arrived on Sunday, checked into our resort and immediately boarded a boat to Downtown Disney! Our resort was on the Sassagoula River. Mom and Dad took off for late hours at the Magic Kingdom.
Monday, we spent the morning at Animal Kingdom. The Zimm Twins experienced their first safari and everyone was very impressed with the amount of animals Doug & Kate recognized. Kate said, "look mama, it's a rhinoceros"! Animal Kingdom was the place we rode our first real ride and met Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore! That afternoon, we spent time swimming at one of the pools located at our Resort.
Tuesday, the Zimm Twins were some of the first people to enter the Magic Kingdom!!! During Extra Magic Hours, the park opened 1 hour early for Resort guests. The first stop was to the Carousel Horse. ( mom doesn't understand that one!) That day was filled with riding Dumbo the flying Elephant, seeing Pinnocio, had breakfast with Pooh, Piglet & Tigger, riding Peter Pan, riding Its A Small World, riding the Mad Teacups, Driving cars on the Speedway, the Carousel of Progress, eating a nice lunch, stopping along the way to purchase random items and FINALLY meeting MICKEY MOUSE!!! Kate was very excited to meet Mickey and had no fears, at first, Doug was a bit hesitant, but eventually really warmed up to the Mouse!

Wednesday, the Zimm Twins were very excited to eat breakfast with Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Special Agent Oso at Hollywood & Vine in the Disney Studios. Daddy took off to ride Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster while we enjoyed good food, song, dance and a visit from all of the characters! While at Disney Studios, we watched the Disney Junior (puppet) Show where we saw Jake and the Neverland Pirates, all the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse friends, Little Einsteins and Handy Manny and his tools! The most activity at Disney Studios was when Doug & Kate played in the "Honey, I shrunk the playground". Crawling up vines, playing in giant tinker toys and sliding down kodak film canisters!
Wednesday afternoon, we headed to the Fishing Hole at our resort! Doug and Kate used cane poles to practice fishing. No fish were caught, but they had a good time!
Much to Mommy's surprise, Wednesday night, Daddy rented a family bicycle to tour our Resort. It was a lot of fun, we were able to see a lot of water and pretty flowers!
Thursday, began by riding the Monorail to the Polynesian Resort for breakfast at Ohana's with Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. (the pineapple bread was 
great!)

We spent our day at Epcot! We rode in a clam at the Seas, rode a boat to see the vegetation at Epcot, and visited character spot where we saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy & Pluto. Lunch in Italy and then back to our Resort. There, Doug & Gdaddy, Daddy & Kate rented 'baby boats' and toured the river! It's official, the Zimm Twins LOVE boats! 
Friday, was our day to head home, but not before we had breakfast with Mickey at Chef Mickey's!
The Zimm Twins had another very successful vacation and an exciting 1st trip to Disney World! Everyone was sad to leave, but Let The Memories Begin!
